2017 in Review

This is the time of year that we stop to take stock of where we are, where we've been and where we're going.  Some things are easy to review, others not so much.

Dollars and Cents: Easy. Our books are balanced, as they have been every year. Total expenditures for the year, $9957.49; total donations received this year, $9960.68. Most expenditures were for transportation - vehicle maintenance, insurance and fuel. We are free of debt.

Tummies filled: Also easy. Gifts in kind from Feed my Starving Children and Gleanings for the Hungry provided 750,000 meals this year. On a per-serving basis, your support cost just over 1.3 cents per meal. So you fed 75 servings for each dollar contributed.

Lives changed: Not possible to measure. We never really know what impact we are making. But we do know that roughly 5,000 young lives are impacted every year - some receive regular meals through daily feeding at orphanages, school breakfast programs and the like. Some benefit from on-the-street dispensas. We were able to provide disaster relief for the devastating earthquakes in Chiapas and Oaxaca, and continue to supply aid to those areas. We have expanded our outreach to include not only Chiapas and Oaxaca, but opened a new program in cooperation with DIF Loreto to serve that community in Baja Sur.

Our outlook: We serve day-to-day, but plan years into the future. We continue to strive to serve the Great Commission, reaching out to the nations and reminding everyone we touch that we serve a loving and generous God.
