Vision and Hearing          Clinics

Last summer Hilarious Givers teamed with Highlands Church of Scottsdale, Az to conduct vision screening, testing and eyeglass dispensing among the largley migrant population south of Ensenada. We also conducted a feeding outreach, with the cooperation of Feed My Starving Children.

That mission was a great success. Hundreds of needy and deserving people received much-needed eyeglasses, lots of fellowship was shared over nutritious meals, and the Good News of a generous and loving God was shared with the migrant workers, and with business and government decision-makers.

This year we doubled down! The crew from Highlands Church returned, doubled in size. They brought vision screening and testing equipment, equipment to perform refractions on the kids and their families, and enough volunteers to serve hundreds and hundreds of folks who otherwise would not get eye care.

In addition, Dr. Eduardo Valle, Director of Cruz Verde (Green Cross) de Tijuana, conducted hearing screening and evaluation for hearing aids. We actually transported a hearing clinic from Tijuana to rural Baja California to test the hearing of members of that community.

The Highlands crew distributed the Gospel of John, and Hilarious Givers provided the Jesus Film in Spanish and the local Mixteco language to a partner church. There were many opportunities to share the Good News with people of influence. We never know when our kingdom building activities have an impact, but we do know that He has his hand on our efforts.
